While watching the animated movie Tangled (for the nth time) with my two year old niece (yes people in the legal profession do watch such genre, or I think its just me :) ), my attention was caught by the scene wherein Rapunzel experiences a sort of fear of the unknown and Flynn encourages her.
Rapunzel: I've been looking out of a window for eighteen years, dreaming about what I might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?
Flynn Rider: It will be.
Rapunzel: And what if it is? What do I do then?
Flynn Rider: Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.
There were moments when I used to ask those questions: when I was on the brink of deciding whether or not to enroll in law school; having difficulty juggling work and academics; missing out on bonding moments with college friends; struggling with a major subject; questioning the purpose of being in this field. I almost never enrolled in law school, it was like a dream already forgotten. But the thing is, when God gives you a dream, no matter how small that seed may be, it will grow and bear fruit at the right time, not a second too early, not a second too late.
So be like Rapunzel, take the risk and live your dream. :)
